Importance of buying Made In India Products.
Why do we need to buy Indian Brands or Made in India Products and also on how it affects us and the generations to come,
Yes, you heard it right, what we buy today will affect our generations to come.
How ???
Just read this completely and if you agree, Kindly share the links this will motivate us to do better work in future,
OK, lets come back on the topic,
When we buy something that is made outside our country/Imported from another country we are actually reducing the employment chances for generations to come.
This is how it happens,
For E.g. If you buy a pen worth Rs. 20 which is Made in China,
This pen must have been imported by some wholesaler or some pen manufacturer in India, who are not able to either match the cost or the quality of the pen that they want to sell.
Suppose out of Rs. 20, Rs.18 goes to the importer and Rs 2 is given as a margin to the distributor and the retailers.
From the remaining Rs 18, we take 5 Rs as the margin for the importer including his profit and Storage cost, so we are left with Rs. 13 which is to be paid to the Manufacture who is located outside India.
Now when we pay to the Manufacturer who is located outside of the country, we pay in the acceptable currency i.e. normally US Dollars.
Now the things start to change for us/importer country How ???
We will not go in the Macro Economics explanation We will put this in very simple language,
Rupees 13 that we have given to another country is something that will never come back to us, They will use this money for further developing there existing products quality and also invest in increasing their product range, e.g. a mobile manufacturing company coming up with Smart TV, SmartWatch, Home Wifi and different products range,
How ??? |
How does this affect us?
Very simple this will affect the local manufacturer in the country as they will not be in a position to compete with them because their sales/revenue is not as much as the company in the other country,
They will not be able to spend much on research and development (R&D) resulting not able to compete with international marker and diversification of products is something which is out of there budgets,
This result in forcing them to import products from other countries with their branding on them,
So how does this affect us in reality?
Just think of a country were apart from basic required goods all other goods are imported, What do you think how many JOB opportunity will be available at such places?
When we shift our manufacturing industries to other countries. We will be left with very little opportunity as, only the trading sector will survive, Jobs like Product development, designing, labours required in manufacturing, raw material suppliers and all other direct and indirect business and labours will be left with no work to do.
This is a Circle which is hard to exit and survive from,
NO JOB NO MONEY NOW WHAT ???
We really don't need to tell what will be the situation if we are stuck in that, This is a situation that no country would like to get stuck in, Because this leads to all kind of evil things we can't even think of, and honestly we would not even want to think of those situations,
This is just a small example things could be worst than this. |
We know this sounds very negative but the truth is not always very pleasant,
We can actually continue this topic on how and what are the other ways it would or could effects us, But just want to keep this short to understand and share.
Our only request,
Just before you plan to buy anything just invest your little bit of time in finding out about the company/where is the product manufactured and what is the Indian Product alternative available for that.
We could be paying little extra for Indian products sometimes or we might not get that Super looking design products but just remember that will help us in securing our future, Your little contribution will help us to save our country don't look at how little or high-value product you are buying just look at why not buy Indian brand product and give them a chance to grow. In the worst case scenario where we do not have any Indian brand at least look out for products that are Made in India, this will give some job opportunity to our country workforce.
